PDF para JPG: Como converter sem perder qualidade
Converta páginas de PDF em imagens JPG sem perda de qualidade. Aprenda quais configurações de DPI usar, quando escolher PNG e o método gratuito mais rápido.
Converting a PDF to JPG is simple — but doing it without quality loss takes one decision: choosing the right resolution (DPI). Get that right, and your JPG images will look identical to the original PDF. Get it wrong, and you'll get blurry text or pixelated graphics.
The DPI Decision
DPI (dots per inch) determines how many pixels represent each inch of your PDF page. Standard PDF pages are measured in points (72 points = 1 inch), and when you convert to JPG, the tool "rasterizes" the vector content into pixels at the DPI you choose.
| DPI | Use Case | Image Size (A4 page) | Quality | |---|---|---|---| | 72 DPI | Web thumbnails, previews | ~595 × 842 px | Low — blurry text | | 96 DPI | Screen display | ~794 × 1123 px | Acceptable for previews | | 150 DPI | General purpose | ~1240 × 1754 px | Good — text is readable | | 200 DPI | High-quality screen use | ~1654 × 2339 px | Excellent | | 300 DPI | Print, archiving | ~2480 × 3508 px | Print-quality | | 600 DPI | High-resolution archiving | ~4960 × 7016 px | Very large files |
For most uses: 150–200 DPI gives excellent on-screen quality with manageable file sizes.
For printing converted images: Use 300 DPI. Anything below 200 DPI will look soft when printed.
For web thumbnails: 96 DPI is fine and keeps files small.
How to Convert PDF to JPG
- Go to the PDF to JPG tool.
- Upload your PDF (supports multi-page PDFs).
- Choose your DPI (default is 150 — good for most uses).
- Choose JPG as the output format.
- Click Convert.
- Download as a ZIP file (one JPG per page) or download individual pages.
Output: One JPG per page. A 10-page PDF produces 10 JPG files.
JPG vs PNG: When to Use Each
The PDF to JPG tool also supports PNG output. Here's when to choose each:
Choose JPG when:
- The PDF contains photographs or color images
- You need smaller file sizes (JPG compresses images well)
- The output will be used in web pages, social media, or presentations
- Some quality loss is acceptable (JPG is lossy)
Choose PNG when:
- The PDF is mostly text, charts, or diagrams with sharp edges
- You need pixel-perfect accuracy (PNG is lossless)
- The image will be used in design projects where you'll resize or layer it
- Transparency is needed (PNG supports it; JPG does not)
A scanned letter at 150 DPI: PNG at 450 KB vs JPG at 120 KB. The JPG is 3× smaller with barely perceptible quality difference for text.
A photo-heavy brochure at 200 DPI: PNG at 8 MB vs JPG at 1.5 MB. For photos, JPG wins on file size with minimal visible quality loss.
Converting Specific Pages
You don't have to convert the entire PDF. To extract specific pages as images:
- First use Extract PDF Pages to create a new PDF with only the pages you want.
- Then use PDF to JPG on the extracted PDF.
Or, if you just need to grab embedded images from within the PDF (not render pages as images), use Extract Images from PDF — this pulls out the original image files at their original quality, which is almost always better than rasterizing the page.
Why Is My Converted JPG Blurry?
Three common causes:
1. DPI is too low. If you used 72 or 96 DPI, zoom in on the text — if it looks pixelated, re-convert at 150 or 200 DPI.
2. The original PDF was low-resolution. A scanned PDF from a bad scanner will look blurry at any DPI because the source image is already degraded. Converting to JPG cannot improve a blurry scan.
3. Your viewer is scaling the image. If you're viewing a 595-pixel-wide image in a window that's 1200 pixels wide, the viewer is upscaling it. The image itself may be fine — view it at 100% zoom (1:1 pixel) to judge actual quality.
Batch Converting a PDF
To convert every page of a large PDF to individual JPGs:
- Upload the full PDF to the PDF to JPG tool.
- Select "All pages."
- Click Convert.
- Download the ZIP — it contains one numbered JPG per page.
A 100-page PDF at 150 DPI produces a ZIP with 100 JPGs. Each file is named page-001.jpg, page-002.jpg, etc.
