1. Open the WhiskFile Unlock PDF tool.

2. Upload the password-protected PDF.

3. If the PDF requires a password to open, enter the password when prompted.

4. Click "Unlock PDF". The tool removes all password protection and permission restrictions.

5. Download the unlocked PDF. It can now be opened, edited, printed, and copied by anyone without a password.

Common legitimate reasons to unlock a PDF:

- You created the PDF and set a password you no longer need. - You received a password-protected document from a colleague who shared the password separately. - A PDF has print restrictions that prevent you from printing your own documents. - You need to merge or edit a protected PDF as part of a larger workflow.

Always ensure you have the right to remove protection from a document. Do not use PDF unlocking to bypass copyright protection or access documents you are not authorized to view.

Once a PDF is unlocked, you can:

- Edit it using the WhiskFile Edit PDF tool - Merge it with other documents using Merge PDF - Compress it using Compress PDF - Re-protect it with a new password using Protect PDF
